Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro: The Ultimate Cleaning Companion (2026)

Roborock’s Qrevo Edge 2 Pro: a smarter, cleaner home with sharper obstacle handling

Cleaning isn’t anyone’s favorite chore, but robotic cleaners make it a lot easier. Over the last year, the market has exploded with new models and tons of tech designed to hoover up dirt and then mop the floors automatically. In short, they’re maintenance helpers that keep your space tidy with minimal effort.

One standout model from the past year is getting a substantial upgrade, bringing more technology, stronger cleaning performance, and smarter tracking.

Roborock’s Qrevo Edge grabbed our attention previously, and its successor—the Edge 2 Pro—promises to do even more. It upgrades the vacuum and mop systems, boosts the tracking tech, and refines the overall design.

The Edge 2 Pro is positioned as a clear evolution of the Edge. It introduces a LiDAR mapping system that can retract, fitting into a slim 7.98 cm profile. This is a notable difference from the original, which had a protruding sensor.

The retractable LiDAR lets the unit slide under couches, beds, and other furniture that have low clearance, addressing a common blind spot for many robotic vacuums.

When dust is picked up, the Edge 2 Pro applies 25,000 Pa of suction to capture fine particles and pet hair. The mopping system combines warm water with pressure on two rotating mop pads to scrub surfaces.

For deeper cleaning, the mop system includes 100°C hot water washing to tackle grease and microbes on the pads, followed by a blast of 55°C hot air to dry the pads. This drying step helps reduce lingering smells, which can be hard to eliminate if pads stay damp or must be washed manually with home remedies.

That odor-control feature matters because simply washing and drying the pads can leave behind smells unless you tackle the mop tank and pads properly, a process some users find tedious.

Perhaps the most compelling angle is Roborock’s approach to convenience as its AI evolves. The Edge 2 Pro’s obstacle recognition can identify over 200 object types and is certified for cleaning floors where pets roam and where infants crawl. This suggests a system tuned for environments with kids and animals, emphasizing safe operation and thorough cleaning of small particles at high temperatures.

Pricing is at the higher end for a robo-vacuum with a mop. The Edge 2 Pro is slated to launch at about $2,799 in Australia, reflecting its advanced features and performance capabilities.

Would you consider a model like the Edge 2 Pro if you want maximum under-furniture reach and advanced hygiene features, or does the price make you pause for alternatives? Share your thoughts in the comments.
